A “farrago” is a confused mixture and refers to the mix of designs used in this exceptionally well balan- ced patchwork. It is a blanket of dif- ferent tribal patterns, executed in an overdye coloration. Khayma stands for the traditional tent used by the nomadic tribes in the desert. By ex- tension, it also stands for the family, the home or the tribe as a whole. The flooring would consist of rugs for confort and partly for decoration too.
Inspired by Marie Bathellier, an artist living and painting on the Isle of Yeu off the Atlantic coast of France.
